Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator
(ECE) Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate
will play a key role in providing exceptional care and education to children aged
30 months to school age in our preschool and daycare centre.
VIHA Qualifications:
• A clean criminal record check
• A current/valid first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• At least 19 years of age
Ready Set Grow Qualifications:
• Education: A Degree in Education/Child & Youth Care/Recreation
Education or a License to Practice as an Early Childhood Educator
• Certification: Food Safe (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience: 5 years’ experience working with children in a licensed centre
• Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills to convey
messages to families, staff, and children effectively.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with an
ability to motivate a team.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and
multi-tasking skills.
• Knowledge: An understanding of child development principles and VIHA
licensing regulations.
• Computer Skills: Experience with Mac computers, Microsoft Word and
Excel, Google Sheets, and Gmail.
• Diversity and Cultural Competency: Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and
awareness with the ability to create programming that is inclusive of
diverse needs.
Duties:
• Expected to work a combination of on-floor and administrative duties
• Provide guidance and support to staff members
• Monitor and evaluate employee performance
• Develop and implement training programs
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Collaborate with other supervisors to improve overall efficiency
• Assist in the recruitment and hiring process

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour (plus ECE Wage Enhancement)
Expected hours: 35 per week
