The Esquimalt MFRC is looking for an Out of School Care worker to work at our Centre in Belmont Park, Colwood for the 2019-2020 school year (September-June). This is a one-on-one supported care position funded by VIHA with hours between 22.5 and 27.5 hours per week. The required shifts are Monday – Friday between 6:30am to 9:00am and 2:00pm to 5:30pm daily. Rate of pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. Personal transportation is recommended due to limited bus service.
This position requires at least 20 hours of childcare related education in areas such as child development, health and safety, nutrition, or guidance. Suitable applicants must also be 19 years of age, hold valid first aid certification, and have experience working with children. Previous experience working with children with behavioural challenges is an asset. A criminal record check is a condition of employment.
