Early Childhood Educator/Infant Toddler
Reports to: Health Director/Day Care Manager

Position Summary
ECE/IT position is responsible for developing and implementing child care programs that promote healthy physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. The ECE will work directly with the child care programs, providing high quality care for children in a group setting. Working in collaboration with the child care team the ECE/IT will be responsible for supporting children from 12 months to 5 years of age.

• Education: A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in early childhood education is required
• Valid ECE Certificate is required
• Valid Infant Toddler Certificate is required
• Experience is an asset
• Clean criminal record check is required.
• Character references in respect of the person are required
• A record of the person’s work history/resume is required
• Min. two years’ experience working in First Nations community
• Copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of training and skills are required
• Evidence that the person has complied with the Province’s immunization and tuberculosis

Working conditions and Compensation
• Working conditions contain moderate risks
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping
• $23.00/hour, Monday through Friday – Hours are between 7:30am – 5:30PM
• Comprehensive Group Health Benefits Package after 3 months of service.
