Full time Early Childhood Educator/Assistant
Position Start Date: As soon as possible

Position Available: This is a full time position, 8 hour per day shift, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Shifts will vary between 7:30am – 5:30pm.

Duties will include:
 Plan, develop, and implement combined day long child care programs designed to meet children’s social, physical, intellectual, creative, cultural, emotional and developmental needs in a child care environment
 Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
 Build children’s social, interpersonal skills and self-esteem by establishing routines and using positive guidance to allow children to feel secure, comfortable and safe.
 Assess the developmental level of children
 Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special events
 Establish and maintain good communication with children’s families and community agencies involved in children’s development.
 Assist in housekeeping duties

 A valid B.C. License to Practice as an Early Childhood Educator or Assistant
 ECE or ECEA Certification or Diploma
 Must meet BC Child Care licensing requirements for valid and subsisting first aid certification
 Signed authorization to conduct a criminal record check (as required by BC Child Care Licensing Regulation)
 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
 Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with our team
 Professionalism when working with staff, families and children at all times

Rate of Pay: ECEA – $17 per hour to start
ECE – $19 per hour to start
