Reflecting on the Pikler Symposium

Faciliated by: Enid Elliot, PhD

Enid Elliot will share her learning and insights from the recent Pikler International Symposium
2018 in Budapest (http://pikler.kmcongress.com/). The format for the evening will be a
Community of Practice where there will be plenty of dialogue and idea sharing, in a relaxed
environment. The Symposium reflects the philosophy and teachings of Emmi Pikler (born 9
January 1902 in Vienna; died 6 June 1984 in Budapest) who was a Hungarian pediatrician who
introduced new theories of infant education, and put them into practice at an orphanage she
ran.
