Position Summary
The ECE/IT position is responsible for developing and implementing child care programs that promote healthy physical, cognitive, emotional and social development. The ECE will work directly with the child care programs, providing high quality care for children in a group setting. Working in collaboration with the child care team, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting children from 12 months to 5 years of age. This position is a member of the Day Care Team.   • Education: A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
  • Valid ECE Certificate is required
  • Valid Infant Toddler Certificate is required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience – preference is working in or with Indigenous Communities
  • Combined education and experience will be considered
  • A clear criminal record check, including vulnerable peoples is required
  • Evidence that the person has complied with the Province’s immunization and tuberculosis

Working conditions and compensation

  • Team environment within Community
  • Up to 16 Day Care seats
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday – hours range from 7:30am to 5:30pm
  • Rate of Pay $21.50/hr. to start
  • Compensation and benefits package included
