Victoria Child Care Resource and Referral (VCCRR) offers support, information, training, and resources to

• registered license-not-required (RLNR) child care providers
• licensed family child care providers,
• licensed in home multi-age child care,
• preschools,
• group child care centres,
• the community.

In addition, VCCRR assists individuals who are interested in becoming RLNR child care providers.

Our program offers different levels of service for either Child Care Providers or Community Partners.

Child Care Providers

At the Full Membership level for Child Care Providers, members may access all of our services, such as newsletters, workshops, resource library items, infant/toddler equipment, and child care referrals.

OR

At the Child Care Provider Only Receiving Referrals level, the members have stated that they only want our Referral Services and no other services.

Benefits of Full Membership:

• seasonal newsletters addressing current child care issues
• phone consultations with early childhood professionals
• access to workshops in the Capital Region and Vancouver Island
• access to library resources, including books, CDs, DVDs, and videos
• laminating, photocopying, and die cut machine services for a nominal fee
• information on liability insurance and group benefits insurance
• access to themed activity boxes, book bags, backpacks, felt board stories, and add on equipment.
• access to infant/toddler equipment (please contact our office for further information)
• information about subsidy, operating, and capital funding programs
• certificate of membership recognizing achievement
• computerized referral registry connecting families to child care providers
• information about Family Child Care Training

Community Partners

A Community Partner is someone who is not working front line in a licensed child care setting or CCRR monitored setting.

You can become a Full Community Partner by paying an annual fee that entitles you to a number of our services, namely, borrowing privileges for our resource library items, workshop information, and our "green" newsletters. You can choose to be added to our database and receive information about workshops, community events, and our "green" newsletter. This option is often used by Early Learning & Care students and other educators outside of our mandated area who want further training options and community information about our field.
