Oh my goodness...was the room on fire last Saturday afternoon!

In the morning Jeannie Owens-Wallace and Liz Cox presented, " A Parent's Perspective" which dealt with a parent's reality of having a child with special needs. Participants came away with a greater understanding of these special children and their special parents. We had hoped to encourage more educators and care providers to open their hearts and their doors to offer child care. The level of professionalism and compassion amongst the participants was tremendous.

Every season has its feeling. Summer is the season that conjures up sprinklers and home-made juicicles; children enjoying the endless days that involve treasure hunts, hide 'n' seek in the twilight of the day, and running up to mum and giving a wet-bathing-suit-hug. It is a time of balmy evenings, enjoying a late supper of barbecued yums and a cool, fruit drink. It is a time to enjoy with your family, when the children don't have any prescribed bedtimes and they even go to bed with sandy feet.
